Okay... so, OCs, right? OCs can get such a bad rap (I know, I just looked at the Encyclopedia Dramatica entry on the subject) And personally, I'm not a fan of godboying; OCs that disrupt the natural flow of a story and the main character falls in love with this character and this character can do no wrong... GAH. I came from a community that really frowns upon this kinda thing, and for good reason... which is why when I create my "OCs," I make SURE they're flawed. That they're not perfect and that they can't win ALL the time, and not everyone will love them. I try to make them seem like real people...
